It was a friendly, relaxed event, held under clear skies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove noSpacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"noSpacing\">The site has a capacity of 120 MW \/ 240 MWh, equivalent to the energy needed to power around 20,000 homes for 24 hours, or to make 200 Paris\u2013Amiens TER train journeys. Battery storage is set to play a key role in the evolution of our electricity system. It helps balance fluctuations in demand while making it easier to integrate a growing share of renewable energy, whose output is inherently variable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove noSpacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"noSpacing\">In total, more than 500 people from around fifty companies will have worked on the construction of the Saleux site.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex flex-col gap-xs pr-lg transition-opacity duration-base \" aria-live=\"polite\"><span class=\"block break-words text-primary w-full whitespace-pre-wrap py-xs text-heading-regular\" dir=\"auto\" lang=\"en\">A big thank you
